Who is Captain Dragan?

To the Serbian people he is a national hero. First he became publicly known when he sailed in a yacht from Australia to Europe and when he flew a small plane across Atlantic. He is a person with dual citizenship, Yugoslav and Australian. He participated in civil war, as at that time he lived over there. During several war years, he relayed his own military knowledge and professional behaviour to the other soldiers. He established the largest humanitarian fund in the region and in the history of the Balkan, aiding over 67,000 victims of war of all nationalities.

Why is Captain Dragan in prison?

As a well-known Serb, after the war, his activities were investigated by ICTY and he was not accused of anything. After his return to Australia, newspapers printed an article full of disinformation about him, which was subsequently published in 20 countries throughout the world. Captain Dragan decided to seek justice in the High Court of NSW, because of the insulting disinformation about him in the media. The former foes of Captain Dragan sent a demand for extradition without an indictment or any evidence, and influenced by the Federal Prosecutor, who is at the same time a member of the Australian- Croatian parliamentary advice panel. Captain Dragan was arrested on 19 January 2006. Captain Dragan has been in prison for more than a year without an indictment or any evidence of guilt. On the basis of Croatian demand he is to be extradited to her judicial system to a country from which 300,000 people were expelled to find salvation in exile, 15,000 of them came as refugees to Australia. This is an incomprehensible example of the Federal Government’s willingness to extradite her own national without any evidence of guilt.

At the same time the former prosecutor of the International Court for former Yugoslavia, in Hague, criticizes Australia that “she is a paradise for war criminals;” he had also made statements in the Australian media, while at the same time, the very same person is in a position of a judge, who has the power within the Act of Extradition, the same Act according to which the decision is being made about Captain Dragan’s destiny.

KAPETAN DRAGAN JE U ZATVORU VISE OD 12 MESECI BEZ IKAKVE OPTUZNICE

 KO JE KAPETAN DRAGAN ?

 Srpskom narodu on je nacionalni heroj. Prvi put je izasao u javnost kada je jahtom iz Australije doplovio u Evropu. I kada je preleteo malim avionom Atlantik. Osoba sa dvojnim drzavljanstvom, jugoslovenskim i australijskim, uzeo je ucesce u ratnim zbivanjima , posto je u tom periodu ziveo na tim prostorima. Tokom nekoliko ratnih godina prenosio je svoje vojnicko znanje i profesionalno ponasanje na ostale vojnike. Uprilicio je najvecu humanitarnu fondaciju na prostorima i u istoriji Balkana, pomazuci preko 67.000 zrtava rata svih nacionalnosti.

ZASTO JE KAPETAN DRAGAN U ZATVORU

Kao poznati Srbin, nakon rata njegove aktivnosti su bile istrazivane od strane ICTY i nije bio nizasta optuzen. Nakon njegovog povratka u Australiju, u novinama je stampan dezinformativni tekst o njemu, koji je bio zatim stampan u 20 drzava sirom sveta. Kapetan Dragan je odlucio da zbog uvredljive dezinformacije, pravdu potrazi na Visokom Sudu NSW-a. Bivsi protivnici Kapetana Dragana su poslali zahtev za izrucenje bez ikakve optuznici ili dokaza , i pod uplivom Drzavnog Tuzioca, koji je istovremeno i clan Australijsko Hrvatskog Parlamentarnog Saveta. Kapetan Dragan je uhapsen 19. januara 2006. Kapetan Dragan je u zatvoru vise od godine dana bez optuznice ili dokaza o bilo kakvoj krivici. Na osnovu zahteva Hrvatske koja trazi da bude isporucen njenim pravosudnim organimam, u drzavu iz koje je proterano vise od 300 000 ljudi da bi nasli spas u izbeglistvu, njih oko 15 000 naslo je utociste u Australiji. Ovo je neshvatljiv primer da je Federalna Vlada spremna da isporuci svog drzavljanina bez ijednog dokaza krivice.

 Istovremeno, bivsi tuzitelj Internacionalnog Suda za bivsu Jugoslaviju, u Hagu, iznosi kritike na racun Australije da je “raj za ratne optuzenike”, i imao je upliva u australijske medije tokom proteklih 12 meseci, dok je istovremeno isti covek na poziciji Magistrata koji ima moc u okviru Akta o Ekstradiciji, istog onog po kom se odlucuje o sudbini Kapetana Dragana.
